RUNNING BOAR
The Running Boar competition is similar to the Running Deer in as much as
shooters fire at a ‘Siamese’ target as it crosses a gap in front of them. The
main differences between this and Running Deer competitions, however, are that
the matches are all shot with 22 rimfire rifles only and that the speed of the
runs can be either ‘slow’ or ‘fast’ depending on the match. In ‘slow’ runs, the
boar crosses a gap of 10m in 5 seconds, whilst for ‘fast’ runs the time is
reduced to 2.5 seconds.
The club has two recently refurbished Running Boar ranges, both equipped with
electronic scoring.
